To ensure a stable record existing homogenisation methods will be examined as to whether or not they are fit for purpose The methods will be evaluated using benchmark datasets and will be compared for a few locations with results from more advanced techniques eg Auchmann and Brnnimann 2012 which need information that is not typically available and hence can only be applied for selected locations Homogenised station data for Europe will be delivered and a report written Task 12
