Technical note on estimating type-specific reference values and ranges

The technical note will summarise the steps taken to develop the reference/benchmark values and discuss the role of information from the literature, catchment characteristics, hydrologic modelling, and consultation with stakeholders for achieving a region-specific set of values and ranges for different types of rivers and lakes. The reference/benchmark values should take into account all aspects of sustainability. The technical note will be made available on the Online Networking Platform as a guide to developing adapted methods for other regions of Europe. Task 1.1
