Functional requirements for HVDC grid systems and subsystems

Definition of the respective HVDC Grid modules' functional requirements and the interfaces between modules:- The functional requirements are expected to comprise requirements on the expected ratings of the converters, earthing and layout, control modes, dynamic performance, signals exchanged, start-up and shutdown procedure, protection strategies, fault-ride-through capability. - Integrated diagrams of control blocks will be developed to create a common view, including for each function or each module, clear inputs/outputs interfaces, control parameters and objectives. - Preliminary definitions of KPIs for the different functions will increase the efficiency of specifications to ensure interoperability. Underlying technical realisations qualitatively analysed and quantitatively compared.A second delivery will be issued at M24.
