Policy Recommendations - Circular Economy WATER-MINING Policy Package

Summary
This deliverable is associated with Task 10.2 and will include a description of the implementation of the policy packaging methodology - the 'steps' in the building process of the 'Water Circularity Policy Packages' to:; promote the transition towards greater circularity; recommend policies that will contribute to achieving the UNs SDGs (including 3, 6, 9, 17); as well as the European Green Deal (most importantly, become climate-neutral by 2050 and helping companies become world leaders in clean products and technologies). This is done so that our methods are completely transparent to those who are unfamiliar with the policy packaging method. This deliverable will include a report of the current policy (based on the work done in deliverable 10.1), as well as tools and procedures, based on the circular economy impacts emerging from the case-studies. The policy package methodology will allow ex-ante identifications of possible conflicts and synergies among proposed policy measures, as well as with Circular Economy Business Models, thereby producing a package in which its total contribution exceeds the sum of its parts. The goal is to enable the CEBMs of the case-study companies to permit their widespread development and distribution. Finally, this deliverable will include a set of efficient and easy to implement policy measures aiming at the country and at the EU level. Moreover, this deliverable will include a description of our efforts at fine-tuning the designed policy package to each of the specific conditions and circumstances of the three forms of water defined by this project ((a) as resource; (b) as consumable; and (c) as durable) in relation to the project, case-study pilots. This is again crucial in enabling the CEBMs of the case-study companies.
