Summary
Analyse the coherence of EU policy frameworks in view of their impacts on SDGs and in respect of global agreements on environmental and climate challenges. Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development (PCSD) aims at utilizing the potential synergies between policies to support development and to avoid or minimize negative side-effects.The key question is the alignment of EU agricultural trade policy and agreements in economic, social and environmental terms. Findings are presented in a discussion paper on mechanisms that have to be put in place to ensure that policies are coherent with SDGs as well as global agreements on environmental and climate challenges
