AWRs regulatory, policy framework and funding mechanism

This deliverable will examine the European regulation regarding AWRs and water quality standards. In addition, since many countries apply specific standards and existing national regulations, the national situation will be explored (focusing on 1. the AWARD-case study countries and 2. countries in Eastern Europe already part of the Local Water Forum Network as the ones of the Lower Danube Basin). The review will include the public funding mechanisms (at various levels) to highlight the existing public funding programs for innovative AWRs and to identify potential gaps. This deliverable is mainly linked to task T2.1., but also WP3.1, WP4, WP5 and WP6
